How do I sell tickets on the SeatGeek Marketplace?

You can list eligible tickets for sale on SeatGeek by visiting the Tickets section of your account and selecting Sell.

Quick answer: If you see a Sell button next to your tickets, they are eligible to list on SeatGeek. If you do not see a Sell button, your tickets may not be eligible for resale or may not be ready to list yet.

Before you list your tickets

You can only list tickets on SeatGeek if:

  • The tickets are already in your possession
  • The tickets are eligible for resale on SeatGeek
  • You see a Sell button in your SeatGeek account

Tickets that have not yet been delivered cannot be listed for sale.

How to list tickets on SeatGeek

  1. Go to the Tickets section of your SeatGeek account
  2. Tap or click Sell
  3. Choose the number of tickets you want to sell
  4. Set your split options, price, and payout method
  5. Review your listing details and add the price you originally paid for your tickets
    1. If you don't enter the original price, you'll be charged sales tax on the full price of the ticket
    2. If you do enter the original price, you'll be charged sales tax on the difference between what you originally paid and your listing price
  6. Select List Tickets to publish your listing

Individual resale listings are limited to 8 tickets. If your account is eligible for a higher listing tier, you may be able to list more than 8 tickets.

What tickets can I sell?

Most eligible mobile tickets can be sold on SeatGeek once they are in your possession and a Sell button is available.

Some tickets may not be eligible for resale, including physical tickets, wristbands, PDFs, screenshots, charity tickets, or tickets that have not yet been delivered. This list is not exhaustive. For more information, review SeatGeek’s Seller Terms.

What happens after I list my tickets?

Once your tickets are listed, you can manage your listing from the Tickets section of your account.

  • Use Edit to update your price, quantity, or split options.
  • Use Delist to remove your tickets from the Marketplace before they sell.

You may also be able to use Smart Pricing to automatically adjust your listing price based on demand.

What happens if my tickets sell?

If your tickets sell, SeatGeek will notify you by email. You may also receive a push notification if notifications are enabled on your device.

Some tickets are delivered to the buyer automatically. Other tickets, such as certain third-party mobile transfer tickets, may require you to send them to the buyer manually.

SeatGeek will let you know if any action is required. Learn more: What happens after your tickets sell?

Getting paid after your tickets sell

To receive payment, you’ll need to add a valid payout method to your SeatGeek account.

SeatGeek currently supports payouts to:

  • U.S. residents with U.S. bank accounts, excluding U.S. territories
  • Canadian residents with Canadian bank accounts

Your payout method must belong to the SeatGeek account owner and support the currency of the bank’s country.
