You can usually sell your tickets on SeatGeek if you see a “Sell” button next to your tickets in your account. If the Sell button is not available, your tickets may not be eligible for resale on SeatGeek.
Important:
While SeatGeek offers many tools and tips to make listing your tickets as easy as possible, SeatGeek cannot guarantee that your tickets will be eligible for individual resale.
How to check if your tickets are eligible
- Go to your Tickets section in your SeatGeek account
- Select the event you want to sell
- Look for an available Sell button next to your ticket details
-
Sell button available: Your tickets are eligible to list on SeatGeek's Marketplace
-
No Sell button available: Your tickets are not currently eligible for resale on SeatGeek's Marketplace
Why don’t I see a “Sell” button?
There are many reasons a Sell button may not be available for your tickets, including:
1. The tickets aren’t eligible for resale
Some tickets can’t be resold due to:
- Team, league, or venue restrictions
- Event-specific policies
- Ticket type and format limitations (e.g. physical tickets)
- Local legal restrictions
See here for other ineligible tickets: Seller Terms
2. The tickets aren’t in your possession yet
You will not be able to sell tickets that are:
In a "confirmed" or "pending" order status (order must be fulfilled before eligible)
Not yet in your possession (e.g. haven't been delivered to you, are on a delayed release...etc)
SeatGeek does not allow speculative listings. See here for more info: Seller Terms
3. You didn't buy your tickets on SeatGeek
If you did not buy your tickets on SeatGeek, they may still be eligible for resale on SeatGeek's Marketplace. You may need to:
4. The event or listing window has restrictions
In some cases:
- Resale may not be available yet
- Listings may close as the event starts, shortly beforehand, or shortly after.
What types of tickets can I sell on SeatGeek?
You can typically sell tickets that:
- Are in your SeatGeek account
- Are eligible for resale based on the event or partner
- Include supported ticket types (like barcodes or integrated tickets)
What should I do if I can’t sell my tickets?
If you don’t see a Sell button:
- Double-check that your tickets are in your SeatGeek account
- Try linking any team or third-party accounts
- Review the ticket’s delivery method
If your tickets are still not eligible, you may need to:
- Use the original ticket provider’s resale platform
