How do I sell mobile transfer tickets on SeatGeek's Marketplace?

Some tickets purchased on SeatGeek are delivered by another ticket provider. These are commonly called mobile transfer tickets.

You can sell certain mobile transfer tickets on SeatGeek’s Marketplace—but only if they are eligible for resale and were purchased on SeatGeek

For SeatGeek's full seller terms, please see here.

Can I sell my mobile transfer tickets on SeatGeek?

You can sell your tickets if:

  • You have already received the tickets (they are in your possession), and
  • You see a "Sell" button next to the tickets in your SeatGeek account

If you do not see a "Sell" button, your tickets are not eligible for resale on SeatGeek.

Eligible tickets may include:

  • Tickets purchased on SeatGeek and delivered via a third party
  • Tickets linked from a partner account (like an NFL or MLB team account)
  • Tickets uploaded to your SeatGeek account with valid barcodes

Important: Tickets with rotating barcodes from other platforms (that are not integrated with SeatGeek) cannot be resold.

How do I list mobile transfer tickets for sale?

If your tickets are eligible:

  • Go to your Tickets page
  • Select your tickets
  • Click Sell

For step-by-step instructions, visit this guide to listing tickets.

For a visual walkthrough, check out our videos here.

SeatGeek cannot guarantee that your tickets will sell. Pricing, demand, and timing all impact whether a listing is purchased.

When can I list my tickets?

You can list your tickets as soon as:

  • They are delivered to your account, and
  • You see the "Sell" button

Listings remain active until:

  • 4 hours before the event, or
  • The tickets sell

If your tickets do not sell, they will remain in your account for you to use.

How will I know if my tickets sell?

You’ll receive an email notification when your tickets sell. You can also track your sale in your Sales activity.

What happens after my tickets sell?

If your tickets sell, you will need to transfer them to the buyer.

SeatGeek will email you with:

  • The buyer’s email address
  • Instructions for completing the transfer

You can also find this information in your Listings page.

Important:

Please do not contact the buyer directly for any reason. The buyer’s information is provided only so you can complete the ticket transfer.

If you have questions or run into any issues while sending your tickets, please contact SeatGeek Support for assistance. Communicating with the buyer outside of the transfer process may cause delays or issues with the order.

To send the tickets, go to the platform where they were delivered (such as Ticketmaster or AXS) and complete the transfer there.

When do I need to send the tickets?

Tickets must be sent by the required delivery deadline, which depends on when your tickets sell relative to the event time.

Send your tickets as soon as possible after they sell to avoid issues with the order.

If your tickets sold You need to send them by
61 hours + before the event 36 hours before event
26 to 60 hours before the event 24 hours from time of sale
Within 26 hours before the event 2 Hours before event

What happens if I don’t send the tickets?

When you list tickets on SeatGeek, you agree to deliver valid tickets to the buyer.

If you do not complete the transfer:

  • You will not be paid for the sale
  • You may be charged the cost of replacement tickets
  • Your account may be subject to restrictions

Are there limits on listings?

Individual listings are limited to 8 tickets, unless your account is eligible for a higher tier.

Some of the tickets that you buy on SeatGeek are delivered by a third party. These tickets are usually called "mobile transfers" and are delivered this way because of a venue rule or event promoter decision. For example, you might purchase tickets on SeatGeek but receive them via an email from another ticket provider or platform like TicketMaster or AXS.

Certain third-party tickets can now be sold on SeatGeek's Marketplace if they were originally purchased on SeatGeek!

Note:

SeatGeek's Marketplace is driven by supply and demand so SeatGeek cannot guarantee that any ticket will sell. See our recommendation here on how to price your tickets to give them the best chance of selling.

Individual resale listings are limited to 8 tickets. If your account is eligible for a higher listing tier, you may be able to list more than 8 tickets.
