How do I send tickets to another person using my SeatGeek account?

You can share access to your tickets with friends by starting a Party, or if your tickets are stored in your SeatGeek account, you can send them directly to another person using SeatGeek’s Transfer feature.

This feature moves tickets between SeatGeek accounts only. It does not apply to tickets delivered through third-party mobile transfer platforms (such as Ticketmaster, AXS, or league apps).

Once tickets are sent using the Transfer feature, they are removed from your account and added to the recipient’s SeatGeek account after they accept them.

When sending tickets, you may be asked for the recipient's phone number. This is supported in most countries but not all. Please refer to this article to see a list of countries for which SeatGeek is currently unable to support text messages.

Important

This article applies only to tickets stored in your SeatGeek account. If your tickets were delivered through a third-party mobile transfer, you must use that platform’s transfer process instead.

Single Event Multiple Events

The instructions below describe how to send tickets to another person for a single event.

  1. Head over to the Tickets section of your SeatGeek account and select your event
  2. Select Transfer (this sends tickets to another SeatGeek account)
  3. Next, select the tickets and passes you want to send, add your recipient's information, and hit "Transfer now"

    transfer review and confirmation

  4. Your recipient will then receive a notification via push notification, text, or email (the format depends on their SeatGeek account settings - if applicable - and the contact info you provide when sending the tickets). This notification will prompt your recipient to accept the tickets into their SeatGeek account or to create a SeatGeek account if they don't already have one
  5. You can cancel a pending transfer in your SeatGeek account at any time up until it has been accepted

Transfer options and limitations

You can easily transfer your tickets to a single recipient, whether you're sending one ticket or multiple tickets at once.

If your tickets include additional items, such as parking passes or suite access; these can be transferred together in the same transaction for a seamless experience.

This is supported in the Web, iOS & Android

What’s not included

At this time, the following scenarios are not supported:

  • Transferring tickets to multiple recipients for the same event (for example, large suite distributions)
  • Transferring tickets for multiple events in a single transaction

We’re continuing to improve our tools, and additional transfer options may be available in the future.

I sent my tickets. Why do they say 'Pending'?

Tickets sent through SeatGeek will show as 'Pending' in the sender's account until they are accepted by the recipient. After the tickets are accepted, their status in the sender's account will change to 'Accepted.' Learn more here.

How do I accept tickets that someone sends to me?

When someone sends a ticket to you using SeatGeek's Transfer feature, an email, text, or push notification will let you know you have a pending transfer to accept. Check out this article for more details!

Can I send tickets to someone who doesn't have a SeatGeek account?

You bet! Enter the person's email or phone number and they will receive an email or text with instructions on how to accept and access the tickets.

Can I cancel sending a ticket after someone has accepted it?

No; however, you can cancel sending your tickets if the recipient has not yet accepted them yet!
