What happens if my event is canceled?

If an event you purchased tickets for is officially canceled, SeatGeek will issue a full refund to the original payment method or provide account credit where permitted by law.

You do not need to contact support. SeatGeek will reach out to eligible fans once the cancellation is confirmed.

While we always hope events occur as scheduled, sometimes an event may be officially canceled by the venue, promoter, performer, or team.

When this happens, SeatGeek will contact eligible fans with information about their refund or credit options as soon as the cancellation is confirmed by official sources.

How refunds work for canceled events

If your event is officially canceled, SeatGeek will issue a refund for the purchase price of your tickets.

Refunds are typically returned to the original payment method used at checkout.

Once processed, most refunds appear on your card within 3–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.

You do not need to contact support

If your event is canceled, SeatGeek will contact affected fans with the next steps. Because of this, you usually do not need to reach out to our support team for a refund request.

What counts as an officially canceled event?

An event is considered officially canceled when it is canceled by the venue, promoter, performer, or team and is not scheduled to be rescheduled.

Events labeled TBD or to be rescheduled are not considered canceled.

If your event was postponed or rescheduled instead, please see: What happens if my event is postponed or rescheduled?
