How long does a SeatGeek refund take?

Most SeatGeek refunds appear on the original payment method within 3–10 business days. The exact timing depends on your bank or card provider.

When a refund is issued for a SeatGeek order, the money is returned to the original payment method used for the purchase.

After the refund is processed, it typically takes 3–10 business days for your bank or credit card provider to post the refund to your account.

Refunds for canceled events

If an event is officially canceled and refunds are being issued, SeatGeek will contact eligible fans directly with instructions.

In most cases, you do not need to contact support to request your refund. Our team will automatically reach out with details about the refund process for your order.

Once the refund is processed, it will be returned to the original payment method and should appear within the standard 3–10 business day window.

Why some refunds may take longer

Some refunds may take additional time to appear depending on the situation.

This can happen if:

  • Your bank takes longer to process refund transactions
  • The original payment method was a debit card or prepaid card
  • The event involved a large-scale cancellation affecting many orders

For major event or tour cancellations, refunds may take longer than usual while the venue, promoter, and ticket providers coordinate the refund process.

What if I don't see my refund yet?

If your refund was recently issued, we recommend allowing the full 10 business days for your bank to process the transaction.

If it has been longer than that and you still do not see the refund, you can contact SeatGeek support for help reviewing your order.
