We know plans change and flexibility is important. For select events, SeatGeek offers an optional Refundable Tickets add-on at checkout. If you purchase this add-on, you can cancel your entire order for any reason up to 48 hours before the event start time and receive a full cash refund (excluding the refundable service charge). You can view full Refundable Tickets terms here.
Important
The service charge for a Refundable Tickets add-on is not refundable unless the event is canceled and covered by SeatGeek’s Buyer Guarantee.
Refunds apply to the entire order only. Partial ticket refunds are not available.
How to add Refundable Tickets at checkout
If an event is eligible, you’ll see the option to add Refundable Tickets during the final review step of checkout. If you opt in, the refundable service charge will appear in your order summary before you complete payment.

The Refundable Tickets add-on must be selected at checkout. You cannot opt in or add the service after your purchase is complete.
After opting-in and completing your order, Refundable Ticket details will be available in your itemized email receipt, on the Tickets page of your SeatGeek account, and your SeatGeek account’s order history.
Important
You can apply discounts or promotions to eligible orders as normal; however, discounts and promotions cannot be applied to the Refundable Tickets service-charge and the service-charge will require the use of traditional payment methods (such as credit card or digital wallet - e..g. Apple Pay).
How Refundable Tickets work
If you purchased the Refundable Tickets add-on and need to cancel your order, follow these steps:
- Log in to your SeatGeek account and go to your Tickets.

- Select Refund tickets.
- Confirm that you want to cancel your order. Once confirmed, the cancellation cannot be reversed.
- Your order will be returned to SeatGeek and your refund will be processed to your original payment method. Order information for canceled orders will still be available in the Purchases tab of your account and will include any applicable refund status.
Reminder
The Refundable Tickets service charge is not refundable unless the event is officially canceled under SeatGeek’s Buyer Guarantee.
Frequently asked questions
Can I resell my refundable tickets?
If your order is eligible for resale, you can absolutely list your order for sale. Once your listing sells, the refundable ticket feature will be voided, and will not be passed on to the buyer.
If you’re within 48 hours of the event starting (and your refund-window has closed), you’ll see an option on your Tickets page to sell your ticket instead. Check here for more info on how to list your tickets.
Will the refundable tickets service charge be refunded if the event is canceled?
Yes! The refundable tickets service-charge will be refunded along with the rest of your order, as per SeatGeek's Buyer Guarantee, if the event is officially canceled.
What happens to my refundable tickets if the event is postponed?
Your order will still be eligible for return up to 48 hours before the new event time (once announced). The service-charge will not be refundable for events which are postponed.
Can I opt-in or opt-out of the refundable tickets service after checkout?
No. The ability to make your tickets refundable is only available at checkout. Your decision to opt-in or opt-out is final. The service-charge for your refundable tickets will not be reimbursed once the order is complete, unless your tickets are refundable under SeatGeek’s Buyer Guarantee.
Can I return part of my refundable tickets order?
No. To return your order, you must return the full order. If you no longer need one or more of your tickets (if one of your party members will not be able to attend the event, for example) we recommend listing those tickets for sale! Check here for more info on how to list your tickets.
