This article outlines the key rules, responsibilities, and expectations when selling third-party (or “mobile transfer”) tickets on SeatGeek.

This is a summary, not a complete list of terms. For full details, see our Seller Terms.

Before you list tickets

You can only sell tickets that:

  • Are valid for entry

Your responsibilities after your tickets sell

  • Send tickets to the buyer: If your tickets require a third-party transfer (like Ticketmaster or AXS), you must send them using that platform
  • Act quickly: Tickets should be sent as soon as possible after the sale
  • Watch for updates: You are responsible for monitoring your email and SeatGeek account for sale and delivery instructions

Within 26 hours of the event 2 hours before the event

What happens if I don’t send tickets?

When you list tickets on SeatGeek, you agree to deliver them to the buyer.

  • If you don’t send the tickets, SeatGeek may replace them for the buyer
  • You may be charged for the cost of replacement tickets
  • You will not be paid for the sale

What if the tickets don’t work or weren’t received?

If the buyer can’t use the tickets or doesn’t receive them, it will be treated the same as not sending them.

You may be responsible for replacement costs and may not receive payment.

Event changes (canceled or postponed)

  • Canceled events: The sale will be reversed and the buyer refunded
  • Postponed events: You are still responsible for sending valid tickets for the new date

When do I get paid?

If there are no issues with the sale, payment is typically sent 2 business days after the event and arrives within 5–7 business days.

Can I list tickets on multiple marketplaces?

No. You should not list the same tickets on multiple platforms at the same time.

If your tickets sell somewhere else, you must remove your SeatGeek listing immediately.
