My SeatGeek order is “pending confirmation.” What does that mean?

When you place an order on SeatGeek, it may briefly appear as Pending Confirmation. This means the seller is verifying that they can fulfill your order before it is finalized.

During this stage, your order has been submitted but has not yet been fully confirmed. Most pending orders are reviewed quickly — often within a few hours for same-day events, or within 24 hours for events further in the future.

What happens next?

If the seller confirms the order, you will receive a confirmation email and your tickets will be delivered before the event according to the event’s delivery method.

In the rare case that the seller cannot fulfill the order, your order status will update to show your order has been rejected, and SeatGeek will notify you by email. The charge to your card will be automatically voided.

What about the pending charge on my card?

When you place an order, your bank may temporarily show a pre-authorization or pending charge. If the order cannot be confirmed, this charge will automatically fall off your account.

Most banks remove these temporary charges within 1–2 business days, though timing can vary by bank.

Note

This article refers to order status. If your tickets in the Tickets section of your SeatGeek account show a status of “Pending,” it usually means a ticket send is in progress. Learn more about pending ticket sends here.
