SeatGeek works with teams, leagues, venues, artists, event organizers, and ticketing partners to help ensure buyers receive valid tickets for their events.
Many tickets available on SeatGeek come directly from official ticketing sources or trusted marketplace partners. Other tickets are listed by sellers who must comply with SeatGeek's marketplace requirements and delivery obligations.
Qualified purchases on SeatGeek are backed by the Buyer Guarantee, which helps protect buyers if something goes wrong with their order.
Tickets from official sources
Many tickets sold on SeatGeek originate directly from:
- Professional sports teams and leagues
- Venues and event organizers
- Box offices and primary ticketing systems
- Official ticketing and distribution partners
For many events, tickets are delivered through direct integrations between SeatGeek and the organization managing the event's ticket inventory.
Because ticket delivery methods vary by team, venue, and event, the exact process may differ from one event to another.
Tickets listed by other SeatGeek sellers
SeatGeek also allows customers and licensed sellers to resell eligible tickets they already own.
Sellers are required to:
- Deliver valid tickets if they sell
- Follow SeatGeek marketplace policies
- Meet delivery deadlines
- Comply with applicable laws and event restrictions
Sellers who fail to meet these requirements may be subject to listing restrictions, account actions, financial responsibility for replacement tickets, or other remedies outlined in SeatGeek's Seller Terms.
What happens if there's an issue with my tickets?
If a qualifying order is:
- Not delivered in time for the event
- Different from what was ordered
- Invalid for entry
SeatGeek will work with the buyer under the terms of the Buyer Guarantee.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include replacement tickets, comparable tickets, or a refund.
Why do some tickets say "Verified"?
For certain events, SeatGeek may display indicators showing that tickets come directly from an official source, team, venue, league partner, or integrated ticketing provider.
The availability and appearance of these indicators may vary by event, team, venue, or delivery method.
