Why don't postseason tickets on SeatGeek show the opponent?

During postseason and tournament games, teams often sell tickets before the full schedule and matchups have been finalized. Because of this, postseason tickets are usually listed using the home team's name and a projected home game number, such as Home Game 1, Home Game 2, or Home Game 3.

Once playoff matchups are confirmed, these placeholders are updated with the opponent, game details, and finalized schedule information.

What does "Home Game 1" mean?

Home Game 1 refers to the first playoff game that a team is scheduled to host during a specific playoff series.

It does not necessarily mean the first game of the series.

For example, if a team does not have home-court or home-field advantage, their first home playoff game may actually be Game 3 of the series. In that situation, tickets would still be labeled as Home Game 1 because it is the team's first home game.

Why isn't the opponent listed yet?

In many cases, playoff tickets become available before the participating teams have been determined.

Until the matchup is finalized, tickets may be listed using placeholder information rather than showing a specific opponent.

Once playoff results determine the matchup, event details are updated automatically.

Can playoff game dates change?

Yes. Postseason schedules are often finalized as teams advance through the playoffs.

As a result, game dates and start times may be listed as TBD or may change once the league confirms the official schedule.

These adjustments are a normal part of postseason scheduling and can occur across many professional and collegiate sports leagues.

Will my tickets still be valid if the date changes?

Yes. If the date or time of your postseason game changes, your tickets will remain valid for that event.

The ticket is tied to the playoff game itself, not the originally projected date.

What if I can't attend after the schedule changes?

If you're unable to attend after a postseason game is rescheduled, you may be able to list your tickets for sale on SeatGeek's Marketplace, subject to event eligibility and marketplace availability.
