Why can’t I select the number of tickets that I want?

Some ticket listings can only be purchased in specific quantities.

This usually happens because the seller has chosen how their tickets can be split between buyers. These settings help ensure that all tickets in a listing can be sold together without leaving behind unwanted single seats.

What are ticket splits?

A ticket split determines how many tickets can be purchased from a listing.

For example, if a seller has listed 4 tickets together, they may choose to allow:

  • All 4 tickets to be purchased together
  • Any quantity from 1–4 tickets
  • Only pairs of 2 tickets
  • Only 2 tickets or all 4 tickets

Because these options are set by the seller, some quantities may not be available even when additional tickets remain in the listing.

Why would a seller limit ticket quantities?

Sellers often set ticket splits to avoid being left with a single ticket or another difficult-to-sell quantity.

For example, if a seller has 3 tickets available, they may allow purchases of:

  • 1 ticket
  • 3 tickets

but not 2 tickets, because that would leave them with a single ticket.

How can I find tickets in the quantity I need?

SeatGeek offers quantity filters to help you find listings that match the number of tickets you're looking for.

When viewing an event, use the Quantity filter to display listings that can accommodate your group size.

If you don't see the quantity you need right away, try reviewing additional listings, as different sellers may offer different split options.

Can SeatGeek change a seller's ticket split?

No. Ticket quantities and split options are set by the seller and cannot be changed by SeatGeek.

If a specific quantity is unavailable, you'll need to choose from the quantities offered in that listing or select a different listing that better matches your needs.
