When will I get my FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets?

Due to FIFA’s security policy, you will likely not see your World Cup tickets' barcodes until a few hours before kickoff, even if you have already accepted your tickets.   

The guidelines provided here are based on the policies and procedures that FIFA has shared publicly so far, which may be subject to change. We will continue to monitor for any changes FIFA may make to its policies or procedures that may impact the expectations below and we will communicate those changes to you accordingly. 

Official FWC2026 Mobile Tickets App

All ticket barcodes will be scanned directly from the official FWC2026 Mobile Tickets App at the gate. Use the buttons below to select the correct app for your device (iOS or Android). Then download the app and sign into your account to enter the stadium.

World Cup ticket delivery timeline

World Cup ticket delivery will happen in three stages. These stages may be unfamiliar, but they help keep the World Cup secure and keep your tickets safe. Understanding the difference between each stage is important in making sure you are accessing your World Cup 2026 tickets correctly on match day!

Stage 1: SeatGeek Order Confirmation 

Stage 1 takes place immediately after you place a successful order for World Cup 2026 on SeatGeek. 

1. You’ll receive a SeatGeek Order Confirmation email. 
   1. The SeatGeek Order Confirmation email verifies your purchase was successful, but it is not your ticket. 
2. You’ll also see your SeatGeek order details appear on your SeatGeek account’s Tickets page. 
   1. Your order details include your SeatGeek order number, order status, category information, and the location of your match. 
   2. You will not receive actual World Cup tickets in your SeatGeek account. 

Stage 2: Invite email from FIFA

1. After the seller sends the tickets to you, you’ll receive an email from FIFA or FIFA’s Resale/Exchange Marketplace inviting you to accept your FIFA Ticket Confirmation into your FIFA account at FIFA.com/tickets.
   1. The email from FIFA or FIFA’s Resale/Exchange Marketplace will include a link for you to accept your FIFA Ticket Confirmation.
   2. Follow the link and create or log into your FIFA account using the same email address you used to purchase your tickets on SeatGeek. 
   3. Navigate to the FIFA World Cup 26 section of your FIFA account to review and accept your FIFA Ticket Confirmation.
2. FIFA’s Ticket Confirmations are not your actual ticket and will not grant you entry to your match.

Stage 3: Tickets go live in your FIFA account 

Stage 3 will likely occur 24-48 hours before kickoff time for your match. 

1. Your tickets will be activated in your FIFA account. 
   1. Instead of your FIFA Ticket Confirmation, you will see your ticket at this stage, complete with seat numbers!
   2. For most matches, we expect this activation will happen 24-48 hours before kickoff, so it is normal to not see your ticket barcode until then.
2. Download the Official FWC2026 Mobile Tickets App in order to scan your ticket at the gate on match day. 
   1. Tickets must be scanned at the gate directly from the Official FWC2026 Mobile Tickets App in order for you to gain entry. Screenshots, printed tickets, or other forms of ticket outside the FIFA World Cup 26 mobile app won’t scan at the gate.
