SeatGeek is showing me an error when sending tickets to someone else

Having trouble sending tickets from your SeatGeek account?

If you’re seeing an error while trying to send your tickets to someone else, don’t worry - it’s usually a quick fix. Here are the ways to resolve the most common errors:

  • Double-check the recipient’s info: Make sure the email or phone number you're entering matches the contact info your recipient uses with SeatGeek. A simple typo can cause a failure.
  • Verify your own contact info: Your account needs to have a verified email address and phone number to send tickets. If you haven’t done this yet, head to your account settings and complete the verification steps.
  • Don’t send tickets to yourself: Sending tickets to your own email or phone number may result in an error. If you're trying to save tickets for yourself, just keep them in your SeatGeek account or add them to your Apple or Google Wallet - no transfer needed!

Trouble accepting tickets sent to you?

Trying to accept tickets and hitting an error? We know that’s frustrating - especially if you're excited for the event. Try these simple steps to fix the issue:

  • Verify your SeatGeek account email and phone number: Ensure your email and phone number are both verified. You can check this in your account settings.
  • Clear your app's data cache and history: Sometimes, clearing your browser history or app cache can fix hiccups when accepting tickets. You’ll find these settings in your browser or phone settings.
  • Check if you already accepted the tickets: Head to the “Tickets” section of your account to make sure you haven’t already accepted the tickets you were sent. If the tickets are there, you're good to go!
