How are my tickets delivered?

While most tickets on SeatGeek are uploaded to your account, it's possible to receive your tickets via another delivery method. Once your order is confirmed, there can be a little wait before you receive your tickets.

In order to ensure the validity of your tickets, most venues will generate the barcodes for them up to 24-48 hours of the event. It can be a bit nerve-racking to wait to receive your tickets, but you're certain to receive your tickets in time for the event.

While browsing listings, you'll see the delivery method in the Notes section. If you've already made your purchase, you can check your confirmation e-mail or the Tickets section of your SeatGeek account to see how your tickets will be delivered.

E-Tickets

E-tickets, or electronic tickets are traditional PDF tickets that are delivered directly to your SeatGeek account. Some e-tickets are delivered instantly to your account, while others have to be released by the venue. Venues may require your tickets to be printed or to be shown from a mobile device, click here for more information.

Instant delivery

Tickets listed as Instant Delivery means are e-tickets that do not have a delayed-release and will be delivered within a few minutes to your SeatGeek account.

Mobile transfers and Flash Seats

Some venues prefer to use paperless tickets that are sent via a third-party app using your email address. These tickets are called mobile transfers. This is typically the method used by the artist, team, or venue holding the event. Mobile transfers can't be printed and need to be scanned from a mobile device in order to be valid for entry.

Since mobile transfers can’t leave the platform on which they were created, you’ll be required to set up an account with a third-party to have access to them.

Note:

Mobile transfers will be sent outside of SeatGeek within the venue’s or team’s preferred ticketing platform 24-48 hours before the event. Sellers have to manually send these tickets via email, so there can be a short wait if the tickets are released after their business hours. However, you're guaranteed to receive your tickets in time for the event, as per our Buyer Guarantee.

Shipped tickets, will call, and local pickup

The ticketing industry is moving away from shipped tickets, but if your tickets are shipped to you, here are the few different ways you could receive them!

Shipped tickets and wristbands

Your tickets will be mailed to you via UPS or FedEx and will be delivered within three to five business days of the event. You will receive a tracking number when the tickets are ready to ship out. Wristbands for festivals like Coachella are also delivered within three business days of the event. Do not put on your wristband before the event.

If you don't see any movement on your shipment, it's likely that the seller hasn't received the tickets from the venue yet but is preparing your order to be shipped. We suggest checking the areas near your front door (bushes, mailbox areas, etc) for your tickets or to check with a neighbor.

Note:

Please ensure that the shipping address you provide is accurate and up to date to avoid delays in shipment. If you need to update your shipping address or have an issue with your shipment, please contact us by scrolling down and tapping Contact Support while viewing your order in the SeatGeek app. Click here to see how.

Will call

These tickets will be available at the venue’s Will Call window under the name provided on the order. Make sure to bring your ID.

Note:

If you need to change the name of the person picking up the tickets, please contact us by scrolling down and tapping Contact Support while viewing your order in the SeatGeek app. Click here to see how.

Local pickup

You will be contacted by the seller prior to the event to arrange a pickup location near the venue where you can get your tickets. For more information about local pickup tickets, click here.

Venue walk-in

The seller will get in touch with you beforehand to arrange a time and place to meet. The representative will then meet you at the venue and walk you into the event.

Gift card

You will be sent a prepaid gift card that is linked to your tickets and can be used to enter the event.
