In order to sell tickets on SeatGeek, you will need to provide your bank account details, and some additional information required for tax purposes, including your name, address, and Social Security number. In some cases, you may receive an email requesting additional information but only if absolutely necessary to securely verify your identity.
Note:
For listings greater than $2,500 you must add your SSN/EIN prior to listing your tickets.

Why do I need to provide my ID or bank information?
In some uncommon situations, our payment processor will need additional information to verify your identity. This will require a clear photo or scan of a valid, government-issued ID. In rare cases, we may request additional documentation such as a photo, scan or .pdf of a utility bill, bank statement, or voided check.
Our payment processor requests this documentation in order to comply with various tax, anti-money laundering, and sanctions laws. The information you provide during this process is 100% secure and will never be shared with anyone outside of our payment processor’s verification team.
Why do I need to provide my birthday?
Federal law requires that we collect identifying information from every user who sells on SeatGeek, much like a bank would require upon setting up a new user’s account. This identifying information includes but may not be limited to your legal name, address, date of birth, Social Security number and phone number. This information is used to verify your identity, and it’s very important that all of the information you provide is accurate and up to date. Sometimes, our payment processor will request additional documents to assist with this verification. Why do I need to provide my Social Security number? Is this secure?

Selling tickets on behalf of a business:
I am selling tickets on behalf of a business. How do I set up my payment?
When setting up a payout, you will have the option to select “Individual” or “Business.” If you are selling on behalf of a business, you will select “Business.”
Next, select your business’s country of operation. Please note we only support US and Canadian payouts at this time. Enter your business’s payout information.
Next you will enter your business’s information including address and EIN, or Employee Identification Number (US) or your Tax ID (Canada).
Why do I need to provide a first and last name on a business account?
We only require this information in case we need to contact someone regarding the business account. This does not have to match the information on your SeatGeek account or your business owner.

Why do I need to provide my personal information in addition to my business information?
For tax verification purposes, we also require some personal information for the business owner, including date of birth.
What if I have a CA address but a US bank account?
For tax purposes, we require your address and bank account information to be the same country.
