How does ADA seating work at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre for The Book of Mormon?

  • The Eugene O’Neill Theatre provides accessible seating on the Orchestra level To purchase ADA seats, select the ADA filter on the event page when using the SeatGeek mobile app or online at SeatGeek.com.
  • All accessible seats are located on the Orchestra level of the theatre. There are no steps leading into the Orchestra level of the theatre from the sidewalk. Mezzanine seats are located on the second level: up 25 stairs from the Orchestra. The Eugene O’Neill Theatre does not have an elevator, but all staircases have handrails.
  • An accessible restroom is available in The Time Hotel directly adjacent to the theatre at 224 West 49th Street. A member of the theatre staff will be more than happy to guide guests needing an accessible restroom to The Time Hotel.

What time do doors open at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre for The Book of Mormon?

The Eugene O’Neill Theatre will open approximately 45 minutes before showtime. Please arrive early and leave plenty of time for security screening. Security screening includes walk-through metal detectors and bag inspections. Firearms or weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited inside the theatre regardless of any licenses or permits.

Is The Book of Mormon appropriate for children?

The Book of Mormon contains explicit language. Feel free to choose what is suitable for your family, however, children under 4 will not be admitted, and everyone requires a ticket for entry.

It is up to you! Depending on your preference, some theatre-goers like to get dressed up, while others may choose a more comfortable outfit. The theatre is kept cool year-round though, so we encourage patrons to bring a sweater or light jacket.

Is there a coat or bag check at The Eugene O’Neill Theatre?

There is no coat check at the theatre, but if need be, large bags can be checked for $3 per item. Please speak to a staff member when you arrive at the theatre for more information.

Does The Book of Mormon at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre offer assistive devices?

The Eugene O’Neill Theatre offers D-Scriptive devices for the blind, I-Caption devices for the deaf, audio induction neck loops for those who have a “T” switch on their hearing aid or cochlear implant, infrared headsets to enhance sound and dialogue, and Showtrans devices in Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. If an assistive device would help you enjoy the show, please visit the headset booth in the Orchestra Bar lobby. There is no charge, but a valid photo ID is required as a deposit.
